Advanced kidney disease
Dialysis-to-transplant pathway
For patients with advanced kidney disease, dialysis is often just the first step in a longer journey toward better health. Patients and families searching for dialysis treatment in India trust our nephrology team to start with the right form of dialysis based on the patient's condition, while working in parallel on donor evaluation and transplant readiness. Once a suitable donor is identified, our kidney transplant programme takes over, managing everything from the transplant itself to long-term immunosuppression and follow-up care — so patients move from dialysis to transplant with one team guiding them the whole way.
Before you plan a transplant
Kidney transplants in India are governed by the Transplantation of Human Organs Act. Living donation is permitted from a near relative — parent, sibling, child or spouse — and from certain other donors only with approval from a government authorisation committee. Every case needs documentary proof of the relationship, and any commercial arrangement is illegal. Our transplant coordinator explains exactly which documents you and your donor will need from your own country, before you book anything.
